FBI staffer and Indianapolis Intensity manager Ali Markus joins Jackie Ross while making the drive home from Milwaukee to Indianapolis on this episode of What’s Next to talk about the Midwest and Great Lakes regions and issues with being a leader in the quidditch community.
Ali started her quidditch career in 2012 at Ball State University during her junior year, where she helped start Ball Brothers Brawl, which she would continue to help run for years after her graduation. She went onto play for Blue Mountain Quidditch Club, Lake Effect Tempest/Maelstrom, and Hoosier Daddies, and now plays for the Milwaukee-based Brew City Warriors.

In addition to being one of the longest-tenured managers in MLQ, she used to serve as an IQA/USQ State Rep before the department was shut down. Ali currently teaches third graders and finds many similarities between them and quidditch players.
